Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Support mobility and fall-prevention efforts with safe transfer techniques
- Document resident care accurately and promptly in the charting system
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent
- State registry/authorization to practice in Maryland (or eligible to obtain)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and a team-focused mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA/Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on caregiving skills and attention to resident dignity
- Comfortable performing ADLs and safe patient handling
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, observations, and documentation
- Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety protocols
