Shift Type: Rotating day/on-call schedule with variable start and end times; weekday on-call rotation plus every 4th weekend (days with variable on-call)

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic procedures on blood and body fluids to help clinicians make informed decisions
- Collect specimens from patients with accuracy, professionalism, and patient-centered care
- Run laboratory tests and operate routine lab instrumentation to produce reliable results
- Interpret test data and draw clear, clinically useful conclusions
- Participate in the on-call rotation (weekdays and every 4th weekend) to support 24/7 patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow lab protocols, and support quality control and safety initiatives
- Collaborate with clinical teams to communicate critical results and improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- 10+ years of laboratory experience (experienced lab technologist)
- ASCP, CLS, or equivalent certification required
- Current Registered MLT or MLS required (no exceptions)
- Willingness to participate in weekday on-call rotation and every 4th weekend
- Ability to review and meet facility-specific requirements at time of submission
Education
- Current Registered MLT or MLS certification (ASCP, CLS, or equivalent) — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Specimen collection best practices and patient-centered draws
- Diagnostic testing and laboratory testing workflows
- Result interpretation with attention to clinical relevance
- Familiarity with standard laboratory procedures and quality control
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfort with variable schedules and on-call duties
