Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures on blood and body fluids with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collect patient specimens professionally and ensure proper labeling and handling
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results, drawing clear, clinically useful conclusions
• Lead and mentor the lab team, promoting best practices, quality, and a positive work culture
• Manage on-call duties as scheduled, including weekdays and one weekend every fourth week
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate results and collaborate with clinical teams to support excellent patient care
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and participate in quality control and improvement efforts

Qualifications

• ASCP or CLS certification, or equivalent (required)
• Current, active registration as an MLT or MLS (required)
• 10+ years of laboratory experience (required)
• Proven leadership experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Ability to participate in a weekday on-call rotation and every fourth weekend, no exceptions
• Willingness to review and meet all facility-specific requirements when submitting

Education

• ASCP or CLS certification (or equivalent)
• Current registered MLT or MLS

Knowledge & Skills

• Specimen collection best practices and patient-centered collection techniques
• Diagnostic testing on blood and body fluids across common laboratory disciplines
• Laboratory testing workflows, quality control, and result interpretation
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
• Comfort managing on-call responsibilities and variable schedules
