Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and safe transfers while encouraging resident independence
• Take and document vital signs and routine observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Follow care plans and participate in team discussions to improve outcomes
• Practice infection control and safety procedures consistently
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of Pennsylvania
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, lifts and transfers according to facility policy
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Background check and drug screen clearance as required by facility
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem schedule

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, charting, ADL assistance
• Familiarity with infection control and safety standards
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Clear verbal and written communication with team members
• Comfort with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing resident needs
• Teamwork mindset and positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
