Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and document patient status changes and report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and proper positioning to prevent injury
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with the care team to execute personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required (T-CNA listed as class preference)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete TB screening as required
- Background check and drug screen clearance as part of onboarding
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced long-term care setting
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed certified nursing assistant (CNA) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and resident safety practices
- Skilled in ADL assistance, transfers and mobility support
- Familiar with charting/documentation and following care plans
- Able to recognize changes in condition and escalate appropriately
- Good teamwork, time management and prioritization skills
