Shift Type: Variable days (Per Diem), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping with daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and mobility with respect and dignity
- Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents are comfortable and safe
- Document resident care accurately and timely according to facility procedures
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, homelike environment
- Follow infection control practices and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred or equivalent)
- Valid state-required registration or license for GNA work in Maryland
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred but new grads with strong skills welcome
- Clear background check and TB screening as required by facility
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong bedside manner and the ability to connect with older adults
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, transfers, feeding assistance
- Good observation skills and ability to communicate changes to nursing staff
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and direction
- Team player who contributes positively to resident-centered care
