Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Document care, observations, and interventions in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate care plans
- Support resident ADLs and comfort while promoting dignity and independence
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Massachusetts (or valid RN license if applying as RN)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
- Per diem availability and reliability for scheduled shifts
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program; high school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Patient assessment and care planning basics
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing resident needs
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
