Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (schedule varies by assignment)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents — bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff to ensure timely care
- Assist with safe transfers and positioning to promote resident comfort and fall prevention
- Support mealtime needs and feeding assistance when required
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations in resident charts
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — current and in good standing
- Previous experience caring for elderly residents is a plus, but enthusiastic beginners are welcome
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful bedside manner
- Comfort working nights and flexible, per diem scheduling
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, mobility support
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
- Good documentation and observation skills
- Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
- Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize resident needs
