Shift Type: Per diem nights (days vary), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, dignified hands-on care for geriatric residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Document care activities and observations accurately and on time
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
- Promote a clean, safe, and respectful living environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification in the state of Maryland (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in long-term care or working with older adults preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a kind, patient demeanor
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control and hygiene best practices
- Observation skills to recognize and report changes in condition
- Teamwork, empathy, and good interpersonal communication
