Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide attentive, respectful care to older adults with patience and dignity
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff promptly
• Help with safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention practices
• Support meal service and assist with feeding as needed while observing dietary needs
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Contribute to a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate caregiving experience in long-term care or assisted living a plus
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Reliable documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
• Patient, empathetic approach to working with older adults and families
