Shift Type: Per diem schedule, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift (day)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Take and record basic vital signs, intake/output, and other routine observations as directed
- Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful interactions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility policies for resident care
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful demeanor
- Reliable transportation and the flexibility to work per diem shifts
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus but enthusiastic learners encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
- Knowledge of infection control principles and proper PPE use
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
