Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents — assist with daily living activities
• Support the care team by monitoring resident condition and reporting changes promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and toileting to promote dignity and independence
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Document care activities accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and family members
• Participate in team huddles and follow care plans to deliver consistent, resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — required
• Comfortable working evenings; ability to stand, walk, and assist residents for your shift
• Willingness to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility onboarding requirements
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic resident care: bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, professional communication with residents, families, and team members
• Reliable documentation habits and attention to detail
• Teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to follow care plans closely
