Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support with respect and dignity
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the nursing team promptly
• Document resident care and observations accurately and timely
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection-control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Engage residents through conversation and activities to promote wellbeing and comfort

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current or eligible for Pennsylvania CNA listing or reciprocity
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and providing direct resident care
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate clearly with residents and team members
• Willingness to pass required background checks and meet facility health requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic resident care and ADL assistance
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and accept direction from licensed nursing staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with residents
