Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in residents' conditions accurately
• Support nursing staff with timely communication of concerns and observations
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Build rapport with residents and families to create a warm, trusting atmosphere

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (appropriate for Pennsylvania practice)
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but not required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently on night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills with attention to safety and comfort
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately and observe changes
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
• Basic charting and documentation skills, following facility protocols
• Teamwork mindset and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
