Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
- Document patient care and observations in a timely and accurate manner
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistance devices
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and coworkers
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- State authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania (as applicable)
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for adult patients
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Education
- CNA certification; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
- Skill in taking/recording vital signs and observing patient condition
- Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and time-management in a fast-paced care environment
