Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the shift
• Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care thoroughly and communicate updates to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support strong patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond to urgent situations calmly and follow facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Travel LPN credential accepted; RN preferred
• Current state nursing license suitable for practice in Maine
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Clinical experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on nights
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• IV therapy and wound care skills as applicable
• Strong teamwork, time management, and prioritization
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and fast-paced environments
