Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for diverse adult populations
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document care and clinical findings clearly and timely in the medical record
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate changes in status promptly
- Support discharge planning and patient education to promote safe transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Mexico or eligibility for state licensure (multistate compact license accepted if applicable)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS encouraged
- Previous acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required onboarding requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent patient assessment and triage skills
- Safe medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Skilled in documentation and time management in fast-paced settings
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and follow care protocols
- Comfortable with patient and family education and discharge planning
