Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, making their day safer and brighter
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
- Maintain dignity and respect for each resident while encouraging independence
- Observe, document, and communicate resident status and concerns in a timely manner
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
- Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver individualized, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
- State certification/registration as required for Maryland practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and age-related needs
- Skill in assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe clinical changes
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
