Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each assigned shift
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe discharge
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
- Support unit needs as a dependable per diem clinician during staffing peaks
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license; RN license preferred
- Active license to practice in New Mexico (or appropriate compact privileges where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Recent clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or related nursing setting preferred
- Current immunizations and health screening as required by facility
Education
- LPN: Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families and staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
