Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe transfers, using correct body mechanics
- Monitor and record residents' conditions, reporting changes promptly
- Assist the rehab team with therapeutic activities and care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and staff
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Current GNA or CNA certification (state registry) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in geriatric, rehab, or long-term care settings preferred
- Current TB screening, immunizations, and clear background check as required by facility
- Comfortable with resident lifts, transfers, and basic documentation
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited GNA/CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in providing ADL support (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs and observational skills to report changes
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles
- Dependable time management and ability to follow care plans
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting preferred
