Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the Bear Canyon Rehab Center
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond to changes in status promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document clinical care clearly and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
• Support transitions of care, including shift handoffs and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS certification (required); ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Comfortable with overnight/extended shifts and able to manage a busy clinical load
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional
• Previous experience in rehab, long-term care, or acute care settings preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV management
• Wound care and rehabilitation nursing principles
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Comfortable using electronic health records and standard clinical equipment
• Ability to triage and escalate concerns appropriately
