Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions accurately
- Support mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling with attention to dignity
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about patient needs
- Promote a clean, safe environment by following infection-control and facility procedures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful care
Qualifications
- Current CNA or T-CNA certification (required)
- Reliable transportation required — facility notes Uber is not a reliable option
- Ability to work per diem shifts and commit to the 15-week assignment (2026-02-18 to 2026-05-27)
- Comfortable working in a long-term care/rehabilitation setting
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-player mentality
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
