Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and assistance to residents with dignity and respect
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and resident needs
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about resident status
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment through proper infection control and safety practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to promote comfort and quality of life

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required; T-CNA recognized
• Active or eligible for West Virginia CNA registry/license
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and safe resident handling
• Measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
• Infection control practices and use of PPE
• Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and respect for resident privacy
