Shift Type: Night shifts — 12-hour nights, 36 hours scheduled per week (24 GWW); facility-determined start/end times (nights). Note: NO block scheduling; requested time off must be submitted and verified at upload (RTO limit: up to 5 days).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously and document cardiac rhythms per department expectations (measure & document rhythms twice per shift)
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry/cardiac patients
- Use Epic EHR proficiently to complete accurate, timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and escalate changes in patient condition
- Deliver ACLS/BLS-level interventions when needed and participate in emergency response
- Maintain professional standards: reliable attendance, clear communication, and adherence to facility policies
- Support quality improvement by following telemetry protocols and contributing to unit-based goals
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care, treatments, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York (Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration certificate required up front for travelers)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (required)
- Strong telemetry/med-tele experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (required)
- Epic EHR experience — MUST HAVE (required)
- Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications (required)
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Neuro/stroke experience highly preferred
- Completion of Welle verbal de-escalation bundle OR CPI (Crisis Prevention) training (required for onboarding)
- Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen per facility requirements (within 24 hours of offer acceptance)
- Own vehicle/driver required; permanent address on profile must match driver license/state ID
- Reliable attendance record with strong professionalism — no frequent call-outs or attendance issues
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong Epic EHR navigation and documentation skills
- ACLS and BLS emergency response competence
- Accurate patient assessment and prioritization on med-tele units
- Clear, concise communication with interdisciplinary teams and families
- Familiarity with telemetry equipment and remote monitoring workflows
- Verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques
- Attention to compliance requirements, onboarding checklists, and credential documentation
