Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate mobile radiography and EKG services at post-acute and long-term care facilities, delivering essential diagnostic imaging at the patient bedside
- Perform and process portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) X-Rays, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images
- Transmit imaging and EKG studies promptly to radiologists and cardiologists for timely interpretation
- Safely load/unload and maintain portable X-ray equipment and company vehicle to ensure reliable service delivery
- Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily in accordance with protocol
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, management, facility staff, and patients to coordinate efficient care
- Maintain accurate records and follow infection control and safety procedures, including COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption documentation
Qualifications
- ARRT Certification (required)
- Current California State Radiologic Technologist License (required) — limited licenses not accepted
- Valid driver’s license in good standing in the applicable state
- Comfortable performing EKGs as needed and transmitting studies for interpretation
- Ability to safely push/pull and handle equipment (regularly up to 50–100 lbs with mechanical aids)
- COVID-19 vaccination required or documentation for exemption
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in community settings
Education
- ARRT Certification and required State Radiologic Technologist License (California)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with portable X-Ray systems (DR and/or CR)
- Familiarity with image transmission workflows and radiology PACS/connectivity
- Basic EKG performance and transmission skills (as applicable)
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance awareness for reliable mobile service
- Excellent patient handling and bedside manners in post-acute care settings
- Comfortable with daily documentation, scanning, and electronic submission processes
