Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Educate and train operating room staff on circulating for C-sections, ensuring best practices and patient safety
- Develop, maintain and deliver targeted perinatal education programs and skills checklists for L&D and OR teams
- Assess clinician competency, provide remediation as needed, and document skills verification
- Lead simulation and hands-on training sessions (NRP, ACLS/BLS refreshers) to maintain readiness for emergent events
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — OB, anesthesia, NICU and perioperative staff — to coordinate learning and optimize workflows
- Support policy and protocol adherence during C-section circulations and labor & delivery scenarios
- Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based care
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (must be in hand and uploaded with profile)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher — required
- Minimum 3+ years current RN Educator experience in the perinatal field (required) — straight L&D RNs without educator experience will not be considered
- Proven experience educating circulating nurses for OR C-sections (required)
- Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications and active NRP certification — must be included in profile upload
- Supervisory reference signed within the past two years (required)
- Must have own reliable vehicle for assignment and include permanent address in profile (facility will not consider travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility)
- Willingness to follow facility COVID vaccination or approved exemption policy (dose date on or after 10/3/23) and to wear a mask if exempt
Education
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or higher — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of perinatal nursing, labor & delivery workflows, and OR circulation for C-sections
- Strong educator skills: curriculum development, competency assessment, and hands-on teaching
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) expertise and ability to teach neonatal stabilization
- ACLS and BLS proficiency for adult and maternal resuscitation scenarios
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse preferred for documentation and chart workflows
- Excellent communication, coaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain and manage skills checklists and required educator documentation
