Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility needs
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Document resident care accurately and promptly in electronic or paper charts
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation and social activities to promote well-being
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies on every shift
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred but not required
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and mobility support
• Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing changes
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
