Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days vary based on facility needs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support nursing staff by observing and reporting changes in resident condition
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention measures
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and family members to promote dignity
- Document care activities accurately and promptly following facility protocols
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred but we welcome enthusiastic newcomers
- Ability to pass background check and any facility-required health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Basic vital signs knowledge and observation skills
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Good charting and communication skills with clinical teams
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to create a calm environment for residents
