Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal support
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care
• Follow infection prevention and facility safety protocols consistently
• Encourage social engagement and emotional well-being for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA class certification (as listed in the posting) required
• State GNA/CNA certification or eligibility to obtain required credentials
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care tasks
• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, observing and reporting changes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
• Time management and organizational skills for busy shift workflows
• Understanding of infection control and safety best practices
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
