Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Perform routine vital signs monitoring and report changes to nursing staff
- Provide compassionate bedside care that prioritizes patient dignity and comfort
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Be an advocate for patients by reporting concerns and helping fulfill their needs
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow care plans and document duties accurately
- Background check and any facility-specific screenings as required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care basics and safe transfer techniques
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Charting/documentation and clear verbal communication
- Compassionate bedside manner and attention to patient safety
