Shift Type: Per diem Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days vary / schedule per facility)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents to support dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in condition; promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during transfers and ambulation
- Document care accurately and timely, keeping resident records up to date
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Willingness to work night shifts and flexible per diem schedule
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and any required health screenings
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for caring for older adults
- Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus but compassionate attitude matters most
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident-centered care and dignity-preserving practices
- Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and basic mobility assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
- Good charting habits and timely reporting to nursing staff
- Strong teamwork, time management, and observational skills
- Comfort working nights and adapting to changing resident needs
