Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Administer medications and document administration per facility policy
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition promptly
- Perform wound care and basic procedures within LPN scope
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — ready to practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable working evening/night hours and adaptable to per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred but new grads welcome to apply
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid foundation in medication administration and documentation
- Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs and basic patient assessments
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
- Good clinical judgement, prioritization, and teamwork skills
