Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents’ comfort and dignity
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver resident-centered care
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents’ families and team members

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico (required)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Compassionate, dependable, and a team player with strong communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of resident care and ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers using proper technique
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
