Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night). 3 shifts per week; schedule varies to include both day and night coverage (both day and night openings).

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical and progressive care to adult and/or step-down patients in the ICU/PCU setting
- Monitor and assess patients continuously, responding quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage IVs and advanced therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Required: Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to work in Nebraska)
- Required: ICU or PCU clinical experience and comfort working 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night)
- Ability to meet regional performance expectations and maintain professional standards
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong critical thinking, assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma or BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid critical care assessment and monitoring skills
- Familiarity with telemetry and progressive care practices
- Comfort with complex medication administration and IV/line management
- Ability to interpret patient data and escalate concerns appropriately
- Teamwork, clear communication and patient/family education skills
- Basic electronic medical record (EMR) navigation and documentation proficiency
