Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Document care activities clearly and timely in the resident record
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Valid state LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (required)
- Travel LNA (T-LNA) classification recognized — travel candidates welcome
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working the 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM day shift and flexible for weekend coverage
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a team
- Clean background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and promoting resident independence
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to measure and document vital signs and intake/output
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Competence in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting practices
