Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
- Collaborate with therapy and interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery goals
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety
- Respond to patient changes and escalate concerns in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Current and active RN or LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or acute care preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on night shifts
- Current immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks/health screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN associate/BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and nursing documentation
- Comfortable with rehab-focused care, mobility assistance, and patient assessments
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in fast-paced situations
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and patient-education skills
