Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients’ communication and swallowing needs using evidence-based tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional outcomes
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to coordinate care
- Document progress, discharge planning, and skilled rationale clearly and timely
- Provide patient and family education to support carryover and long-term success
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical recommendations
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of diverse patients across the care continuum
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts SLP license (required) or eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) preferred
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but not always required — clinical competency matters
- Experience evaluating and treating adult and/or pediatric populations (outpatient/rehab experience a plus)
- Current American Heart Association BLS or equivalent may be required
- Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Clearances and immunizations per facility policy (e.g., background check, TB testing)
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required/preferred depending on credentialing)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia assessments
- Skilled in creating measurable, functional treatment plans and outcome documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills for working with patients and families
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Comfort using electronic medical records and maintaining timely documentation
- Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to adapt treatment to patient goals
