Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support care plans
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility procedures to protect residents and staff
• Support resident engagement through activities and meaningful interactions
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (VT or NH licensure welcomed)
• LOCAL ONLY candidates preferred as noted in the order
• Willingness to work a two-week rotating schedule with every other weekend availability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification encouraged or willing to obtain

Education

• Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of resident care and assisting with ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and recognition of changes in condition
• Charting and documentation best practices
• Infection control and standard safety precautions
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during a busy shift
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
