Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care and observations clearly to ensure continuity among the care team
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Promote resident dignity, independence, and a positive living environment
- Follow infection control policies and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential in New Hampshire, or eligible to obtain one
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts and available to cover weekends as needed
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic nursing care and ADLs
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with safety, infection control, and resident rights
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and stay organized during busy shifts
