Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and communicate updates to nurses and families
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive care environment
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (position listed as VT/NH; appropriate state licensure required)
- Ability to work 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM with availability across Sunday through Saturday
- Comfortable providing direct resident care in a long-term care setting
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility for per diem coverage
- CPR/BLS certification preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork with clinical staff and families
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Awareness of infection control and safety procedures
- Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
