Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care with professionalism and heart
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform thorough assessments and document clinical changes promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care team members to optimize outcomes
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff to ensure coordinated care
- Contribute to a positive culture of safety, infection control, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maine or eligibility for Maine licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous LPN experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and confidence with med administration
- Ability to pass background check and required screenings
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a fast-paced care environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; LPN diploma or certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Resident assessment and basic wound care knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Infection prevention and control principles
- Compassionate bedside manner and focus on quality of life
