Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their dignity
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Take and report vital signs, observe changes, and communicate with the nursing team
• Accurately document care and resident observations in facility records
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• T-CNA listed as a primary skill/credential — recognized and welcomed
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work per-diem shifts and adapt to facility routines

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered caregiving and respect for resident dignity
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility support
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
• Clear, timely documentation and reporting
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Collaborative teamwork and positive communication with staff and families
