Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Support meal assistance and basic hygiene while treating every resident with dignity
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to coordinate care
- Follow facility policies and infection control practices to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — T-CNA experience or travel CNA background is a plus
- Ability to work extended day shifts (12+ hours) and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required screenings
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-centered care skills and a respectful bedside manner
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Good communication and teamwork in fast-paced healthcare settings
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
