Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and policy
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and response to care
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to coordinate patient needs
- Maintain accurate charting and comply with facility documentation standards
- Support infection control and safety practices to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in New Mexico required
- Minimum clinical experience in a similar care setting is preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification recommended
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to handle 12.5-hour day shifts and maintain patient focus throughout
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent vocational nursing training
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Wound care and basic dressing changes
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
- Professional bedside manner and patient education skills
