Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and handoffs
- Support patient mobility, safe transfers, and fall-prevention measures
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working day shifts with extended hours
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work locally (local-only position)
- A caring attitude and good communication skills; prior long-term care experience is a plus
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and understanding of ADLs
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Basic infection control and safety procedures
- Strong observational skills and ability to report changes
- Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting preferred
