Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and comfort
• Provide compassionate hands-on care and support mobility and transfers safely
• Monitor residents' condition and report changes to the nursing team promptly to support timely interventions
• Document care, observations, and vital signs accurately to maintain clear communication and continuity of care
• Support infection control and safety practices to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current enrollment on the New Mexico CNA registry preferred or eligibility to register in New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable working scheduled 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Basic vital signs and documentation practices
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Patient dignity, privacy, and HIPAA basics
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks on busy shifts
• Empathy and strong interpersonal communication
