Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and follow established care plans safely
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status accurately
- Assist with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
- Perform wound care and basic clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Communicate clearly with patients and families, offering education and reassurance
- Maintain timely, accurate electronic and paper documentation
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Experience in long-term care or med-surg settings is a plus
- Local candidate preferred; position is local only
- Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic pharmacology
- Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and patient assessment
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
- Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
- Compassionate patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
