Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, making timely clinical decisions
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced therapies safely
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other critical care equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans clearly and promptly
• Participate in unit-based competencies and maintain required certifications
• Provide compassionate family communication and patient advocacy at every turn

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license for California (license verification required)
• ICU experience preferred; critical care skills demonstrated on resume
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in the order
• Successful completion of drug screening, immunizations, and health requirements
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and bedside nursing skills
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
• Familiarity with ICU documentation and electronic health record systems
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and time-management
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Infection control, isolation precautions, and safe PPE practices
