Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following facility policies
• Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with nursing team and interdisciplinary staff to support continuity of care
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with calm, competent clinical action
• Support residents’ comfort and dignity through attentive, respectful care
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members in a professional, caring manner

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — ready to practice
• Active RN/LPN license in good standing (state licensure expected for New Mexico)
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Per diem availability for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights
• Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating with the care team
• Local candidate preferred (note: this is a LOCAL ONLY assignment)

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Clinical assessment and basic wound care knowledge
• Comfortable with night-shift workflows and overnight patient monitoring
• Clear communication and teamwork skills
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
• Patient advocacy and a compassionate bedside manner
