Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on bedside care to assigned patients during the overnight shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Monitor vital signs, respond to patient needs, and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — LPN classification required
- Eligible or active LPN licensure in New Mexico preferred (local candidates prioritized)
- Comfortable working overnight/extended hours (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on scheduled days
- Demonstrated ability to document accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program or equivalent clinical training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical fundamentals in nursing care, including medication administration and wound care
- Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and reporting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and basic charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during overnight shifts
